Hard Surface Prop Design is an introductory-to-intermediate Concept Art Mentorship focused on designing believable and exciting props to solve creative problems - ideal for artists looking to refine their design sensibilities.
You will be tasked with a set, open-ended brief where you will personally expand into your own world-building project. Through a series of weekly demos, assignments and guided feedback, you will develop your knowledge of design principles and execution through various techniques, such as sketching, ideation and finalisation.
By tackling guided fundamentals, technique and delivery, you will engage your brain in both logical and creative thinking to produce a series of well-executed props for your project, along with following production constraint exercises seen in real industry settings.
This mentorship primarily focuses on 2D sketching with some use of 3D. Basic knowledge in Photoshop and Blender (or similar programs) is required. I look forward to helping you reach your personal and professional goals!
