This class will teach you how to develop your own ideas and build your concept artworks starting from life and excitment. In this industry we are sometimes focused on tools, yet our job as concept artists is to invent, give life, entertain. This is why in this class we will rely on the simplest tools (sketching, drawing, painting) so that we can focus on what matters : designing cool things that entertain us, so that it will entertain others.We will put you in the shoes of an art director that has to flesh out his/her own video game IP.
Live class will be hosted in Zoom, and Classes will be recorded for future reference.
Each week's class will be comprised of live demos, feedback and paintovers ranging from 4-5 hours.
Private Discord server will be created for students to communicate and to get feedback.
Thomas is an art director, senior concept artist and illustrator with 12 years of experience in video games and animation. His clients include Gameloft, Ubisoft, Axis Animation, Unit Images, Rock Pocket Games, Mood Visuals, Virtuos Games and many more. He is currently working as a senior concept artist on Section9 Interactive’s upcoming game.
